I think I loved this one because I love Lynn Painter and I read it at the perfect time!

Alec and Dani omg I can’t. I loved them. I loved getting to see how they were both so nervous to see each other because of their past and how so much had happened since they’d last seen each other. I loved getting to see them get to know each other again and become best friends again. The way it started as fake dating and ending with them being madly in love with each other… I LOVED IT. His shoulder made me nervous and it was very predictable what would happen in the tournament but it added so many important moments for Alec and Dani, allowing me to see how they began to fully trust each other again. Benji can also gtfo because there’s no way Dani actually broke up with Alec because of the fight. That she let him manipulate her like that after all this time… BUT I’m proud of her for putting Alec and his emotions first even if it was dumb. Alec the man that you are i swear to God. I loved him even more after their moment in the hospital!

The only thing that annoyed me a bit was the whole miscommunication trope. I kept yelling “JUST TALK ABOUT IT!” because it wouldn’t have been such a big thing if they’d been honest with how they were feeling… from the very beginning.

I just love a good Lynn Painter book!
